Inquiry based learning is based on the idea of students asking questions to come up with their own answers, rather than simply paying attention to a teacher's lesson. This type of learning differs from traditional methods which push memorization, skill, and drill. Instead of memorization, inquiry based learning revolves around the students' understanding and making sense of the information presented and relating it to everyday life.
